NEW ONGOING TAI CHI CLASS STARTS THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 2025
As of 2025, Tai Chi classes are held once a week on Thursdays, from 6 to 7:30 pm.
Composed of soft, flowing moments, Tai Chi is an extraordinary exercise of mental and physical integration and coordination. Originally taught as a martial art in old China, it is now mostly practiced for its health benefits. Tai Chi enhances mindfulness, increases muscle strength, flexibility, and coordination. One need not be in the best of health or top physical condition to practice this gentle exercise; however, even the most serious athlete will see a benefit.
After 50 years of studying the body and mind-body connections, I have modified the Tai Chi I learned in the 1970’s to create a new system that takes into account the 8 divisions of form and energy. This allows the form and pattern to more appropriately balance the mind and body.
For the 13 weeks leading up to the holidays, the tuition is $225.00. Combined with the Tuesday Qigong class starting September 30, the tuition is $300.00. Call (802) 879-7999 or email amakaris@comcast.net to register.
